Essential Functions of the Sales Account Manager

  • Develop existing accounts and continuously cold calling and prospecting on new accounts with the goal to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales and new account objectives.
  • Educate customers on RPM Machinery’s vast product line and how a partnership with RPM is the optimal choice for equipment, parts and service.
  • Negotiate pricing on sales of new and used equipment
  • Calling on customers on a daily basis, following up with these customers as needed that may require some evenings and or weekend hours.
  • Record daily call activity and opportunities in CRM system
  • Reporting to superiors of construction projects and the equipment needed in the allotted territory.
  • Continually staying organized in reporting of daily activities with call reports.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations as per policy.
  • Ensure all personal protective equipment requirements are adhered to.

Job Responsibilities

·         Research and order parts for shop & field technicians on a daily basis

·         Verify parts orders for accuracy and efficiency

·         Receive in parts and match up with parts requisition forms

·         Distribute parts to appropriate technicians

·         Maintain organized parts shelving in shop area

·         Assist with all parts estimates associated with service work

·         Assist with all incoming calls

·         Research parts to ensure maximum gross margin opportunities for the company

·         Maintain a list of backordered parts and monitor weekly

·         Work with service manager/shop supervisor to ensure appropriate parts shipping requirements

·         Assist service department with ASIP tool to grow parts & service revenue opportunities

·         Assist rental department with coordinating service intervals for rental fleet

·         Work with service department to maintain organized work flow as it pertains to their parts needs

·         Assist service manager with shop supplies; pricing, ordering, inventorying, etc…

·         Process cores and warranty parts for proper storage and returns

·         Attend training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in his/her job description.

·         Maintain all paperwork as it relates to parts within the service department; parts requisition forms, purchase orders, receiving documents, etc…

·         Communicate with field service technicians to ensure parts are ordered and distributed in a timely manner

·         Work with Parts department on overall parts orders to maximize discounts and minimize shipping costs

·         Assist in handling/communicating customer complaints and concerns and work with the Parts & Service Manager to ensure the problem is corrected to the customer and company’s satisfaction.

·         Demonstrate our commitment to superior customer service and ethical business practices.

·         Maintain up to date technical training.

·         Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Parts and Service Manager.

·         Additional responsibilities may include parts counter, warehousing duties, shipping and receiving   duties as necessary.

Job Responsibilities

 

 

·         Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle

·         Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.

·         Pull a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs.

·         Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to trailer

·         Transport machinery from place of origin to assigned destination

·         Ensure contents are properly secured inside of truck to prevent breakage or damage

·         Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods at selected destinations

·         Obtain signatures on deliveries with clients

·         Assist in mapping delivery routes

·         Stay on predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries

·         Communicate with dispatch as needed

·         Confirm contents of each haul matches the contract document

·         Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip

·         Check weather conditions and road reports before departure

·         Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean

·         Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)

·         Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
